Next 4th – 6th March the City of Sindelfingen (Germany) will host the Executive Council of Eurotowns and Task Team Social Inclusion Child poverty & Volunteers meeting.
The Executive Council meets 3-4 times at years to discuss on main activities of the network, as Task Team, Communication, European Project possibility, new collaboration ect. and this year will open the works of the Task Team Social Inclusion Child poverty & Volunteers. The Task Team is currently led by the City of Eskilstuna that In the last two years has worked in collaboration with the City of Sindelfingen, Schiedam and Helmond to exchange experiences about volunteering connected to Integration and Active Aging.
This time the Task Team is focusing on Child Poverty & Volunteers, and is starting a discussion on the EU 2020 Strategy’s priority “Growth for all”, and especially the targets; fighting poverty and social exclusion, reducing the rates of early school leaving and youth employment, in order to develop the content of the Task Team. One ambition is to gather ideas and possibilities for European projects.
