Following the decision of the Interreg Europe Monitoring committee, 66 Projects were approved under 2nd Call of Interreg Europe. The Eurotowns community has been very successful and four cities of the Network – Sabadell, Girona, Reggio Emilia and Gävle – will participate in two approved projects.
From 7 until 9 november the city of Detmold organised the closing conference of the project ‘on Tour for Europe’, funded by Europe for Citizens. Eurotowns congretulates Girona for winning the Europe Prize of 2016. This prize is awarded by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) each year since 1955. It honours towns that are most active in promoting the European ideal.
