The project is coordinated by the city of Hasselt (Belgium) and involves also Reggio Emilia (Italy) and Schiedam (Netherlands).
Other partners are: Ethercentrum vzw (NGO, Belgium), Saint-Omer (France), Abegondo (Spain), Stadt Detmold (Germany), Kaunas City (Lithuania) Dimos Oraiokastro (Greece), Sandwich Town Council (UK).
The main goal of the project is to create more and sustainable jobs in our regions, by:
Free help to find the way in the EU policy and funding possibilities regarding creating job opportunities and entrepreneurship by youngsters.
Stimulating youngsters to take own responsibilities in employment initiatives and entrepreneurship, in particular for youngsters’ part of vulnerable groups.
Four conferences will be organized in Lithuania, Spain, Belgium and Germany, with accent on how to be informed enter into a dialogue and participate on EU-policy and funding possibilities towards job opportunities and entrepreneurship by youngsters. During each conference EU bodies, international teams of experts and representatives of the partner cities will share their experiences. Through world cafés, debates and workshops, knowledge is shared and best practices formulated. Each time a concrete action is agreed leading to practical experience.
The first conference will be held in Kaunas, from 23 to 26 September 2015.
